An intercom is a device that allows access control to objects, which often has a communicative role between visitors at the entrance to the building and an individual inside the building, based on audio and video communication. Audio communication systems are simpler. the intercom is paired with an electric lock and voice recognition, decide whether you want to give the person who requested access to the facility.
The video systems on the outdoor unit have a built-in video camera, and on the receiving unit there is a screen that transmits the image captured by the camera. This allows the person on the receiving page to more effectively identify the person requesting access. For security of access control and access to objects, there is a keyboard that changes the layout of the numbers on the front panel so that the print numbers will not recognize the numbers that make up the password. In addition, it is possible to enter RFID cards, back up passwords to access the SD card. The video intercom is easy to expand and use via various modules for lighting control, the addition of additional cameras, wireless and IP video intercoms, and a connection to a WiFi router to connect to mobile applications.
The video intercom can be upgraded with analog cameras for better control over individual rooms, in addition to the front door or enclosed courtyard where the outdoor unit is installed.
Intercom systems are not limited to one outdoor unit and one indoor unit. It is possible to connect one outdoor unit to several indoor units, as is the case in residential buildings. It is also possible to connect multiple outdoor units to one indoor unit or multiple indoor units if there are multiple entrances or access to the facility.
An intercom can also serve as an intercom, ie for internal communication in a home or building. In this case, a special relay assembly with the corresponding power supply is installed, which disconnects the outdoor unit during an indoor call.
